Work

Pieces off the bench

Built objects, with their real status stated. Work still in development says so — nothing here pretends to be a production run.

Single upstream cable, internally routed

Darkseide
Guitar pickupsIn development

Darkseide

Custom-wound electric guitar pickups built around carbon-fibre construction and bespoke magnetic pole pieces. Every coil is wound individually and potted — no batch winding, no shared spec sheet. The pole pieces are made to the string spacing and magnetic profile the instrument actually needs.

Construction
Carbon-fibre bobbins and covers
Pole pieces
Custom magnets, profiled per instrument
Coils
Individually wound and potted
Fit
Built to the instrument, not to a catalogue spacing

Materials

Carbon fibre, custom magnetic pole pieces, individually wound and potted coils

Nixie
ClocksSeries in progress — The Beast coming soon

Nixie

An ongoing series of Nixie tube clocks built around Cold War–era Soviet tubes across the full range of sizes — from small numerics up to the large display types. Each runs on a custom PCB with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, syncing to network time servers so the clock stays accurate without ever being set by hand. The largest build in the series, The Beast, is in progress.

Electronics
Custom PCB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Timekeeping
Network time server sync — never needs setting
Housing
Hardwood and metal, serviceable interior

Materials

Soviet-era Nixie tubes, hardwood and metal housings, custom PCB

Commissions

Most of the work never makes this page

Commissioned pieces belong to the people who ordered them, and plenty are never photographed. If what you want is not here, that is normal — it is how nearly every piece starts.
