How the music is made
Written by hand, performed by machine
What I write
Every lyric. The structure, the imagery, the language a song is in, the genre and arrangement it should be built as, and the emotional shape it has to follow. The writing is the work.
What the machine does
Generates the recording from that direction — the performance, the instrumentation, the vocal. There is no session band and no studio. The audio is synthetic.
Why say so
Because a listener deserves to know what they are hearing, and because the writing stands on its own without a claim attached to it that is not true.
Moonhowl
The heaviest lane on the label — guitar-forward rock with the writing pushed toward grief, endurance, and the things that do not resolve.
